JICJIC Stands for Joint Industry Council. JIC Threads are widely used in the Fluid Power industry for hydraulic connections. JIC is a type of flare fitting with 37 degree seating surface and is defined by SAE J514 and MIL-DTL-18866 standards. JIC threads are often refered to by a number 2- 5/16", 3 - 3/8", 4 - 7/16", 5 - 1/2", 6 - 9/16", 8 - 3/4", 10 - 7/8", 12 - 1 1/16", 14 - 1 3/16", 16 - 1 5/16", 20 - 1 5/8" |
