A range of swing check valves made from Brass or Stainless steel suitable for a wide range of applications in industry.
One advantage of a swing check valve is that it has higher flow and less restriction than a spring check valve (for example). It also has a negligable or almost zero cracking pressure,
A swing check valve should normally be installed in a horizontal plane - if vertical then the flow direction must be upwards through the valve.
The stainless steel check valve has a metal seat and the brass version has a choice of rubber or metal seat. In general terms the rubber seat should be used for compressed air or gases and the metal seat for water or other liquids.
All the check valves listed here have BSP Parallel female threads.
The stainless steel version can be used for steam subject to temperature and pressure limits.
Swing check valves are not recommended for systems where water hammer may occur.
