The quick exhaust valve is designed to increase the speed of a pneumatic cylinder by providing immediate outlet to atmosphere of the exhaust air.
The valve should be mounted directly in the cylinders connection port and should be provided with a silencer.
Airflow is from port P to A and from port A to R so when fitted to a cylinder port A should be connected to the cylinder, P to the feed in and R is the exhaust port which would normally be fitted with a silencer. If the valve has just an arrow on then the arrow points to the exhaust (R); the opposite end is the feed in (P) and the port at the top (A) connects to the cylinder.
Spare/replacement nylon o-rings and polyurethane diaphragms are available for 1/4", 1/8" and 1/2" quick exhaust valves and are listed in the section below the valves.
