Sterling timed drain valve designed to remove condensate from compressed air systems.
These valves are normally fitted to an air receiver, filter or any other point where condensate is likely to accumulate.
The valve includes a timer which has two settings - the on time - how long the valve is open for (0.5 - 10) seconds and the off time - how long it is closed for (0.5 - 45 minutes).
Each valve includes a ball valve/strainer. The ball valve allows the valve to be isolated for maintenance and cleaning. The strainer protects the diaphragm from dirt and particles which may be included with the condensate. There are two types.
The TD15A where the ball valve/strainer is integrated
The TD15B where the timed drain valve and the ball valve/strainer are two separate items.
The TD15A is recommended for most normal applications. The TD15B should be used where there is limited space or restricted access and more flexibility is required for the installation.
The drain valve may be installed in any orientation however, the timer and coil should be positioned above any possible water leakage point.
The valves are offered with different voltages - 24, 110 and 220V AC.
The ball valve/strainer assembly can be ordered separately.
All drain valves are rated for 0-16 bar apart from one option which is rated for 0-80 bar working pressure. The ball valve/strainer assembly is not included with the 80 bar drain valve.
