Legris C9000 safety type quick release or disconnect couplings for compressed air. A range of ergonomic polymer couplings which have been designed for the safety of operators and machinery while offering very high flow performance (and hence energy efficiency).
There are two sizes in this range: 5.5mm bore (1250 l/min) and 8mm bore (2400 l/min).
This range conforms to safety standard ISO 4414, DIN EN 983. The plug or probe profile conforms to ISO 6150 B and is interchangeable with:

The couplings are silicone free which makes them ideal for the spray painting and finishing industries.
Other important features include low connection & disconnection forces (even when under pressure), polymer body (protects equipment from scratches), very high flow and low pressure drop - energy saving.
To connect simply push the plug in as normal.
Disconnection is a two stage process - turn the sleeve in the direction of the arrow '1' and the air is vented from the downstream side. Then turn the sleeve in the other direction - arrow '2' - and then the coupling and plug can be separated safely.
This coupling is a 'single shut off' type which means that when the coupling and plug are separated the air in the plug side is vented to atmosphere. The coupling should always be fitted on the upstream side of the air flow.
The coupling is available with BSP Parallel or taper threads male or BSP parallel threads female or with a hosetail.
